
Course Description
Program Outline : The Dental Office Administration Program prepares students for careers in dental offices and clinics. The program provides training in dental office procedures, dental terminology, and dental anatomy and physiology. Students develop strong administrative skills through instruction in word processing and patient database management. Learners gain hands-on experience using ABELDent dental software for patient records, appointment scheduling, x-ray uploads, treatment tracking, and insurance billing. The curriculum also covers managing dental emergencies and working with special needs and medically compromised patients. Emphasis is placed on developing effective communication and professional skills within a dental office environment. Students graduate with a solid understanding of daily dental practice operations. An optional 100-hour (4-week) internship is available to provide real-world experience and enhance job readiness.
