
Course Description
Introduces community service work and community development in Canada, with foundations in social work/community practice, sociology and counselling skills, documentation, ethics, and teamwork/self-care. Includes content on social welfare policy, housing/homelessness, high-risk populations, human rights/government services, mental health/addictions, and harm reduction/crisis intervention.
